Sue is currently the Beaker Project Manager and an analyst builder for UPMC Pinnacle and has been in this role for about a year. This is her first project with us. “Our go-live is scheduled for April 29th, so it’s been a busy year!” Sue shared.
What do you love about your job right now?
My favorite part of being a consultant is mentoring team members. I hope that bringing my experience from past projects to my current one, and sharing tips and tricks that I’ve picked up along the way enhances the team and organization. It’s very exciting for me to see others get excited about learning about Epic and Beaker.
What do you particularly enjoy about working with MedMatica?
Being on the project at Pinnacle I have the privilege of having MedMatica support right on site almost every week, which is almost unheard of in the consulting world. It’s been very valuable to me as I’ve learned so much from Barbara and Jeff with regards to effectively managing people, and if I ever have a question, issue or concern I know I have their support. Another plus is MedMatica is respectful of our personal time and when you’re a road warrior, having our weekend time respected by our consulting firm is extremely important and I appreciate it very much.
How often have you worked with us in the past?
This is my first project with MedMatica.
Let’s pause here for a quick look at her adorable dog! This is Sydney, an Australian Shepherd poodle mix. Word on the street is that she is a frisbee-catching rockstar.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
MedMatica always pays in a timely manner. I’ve never had an issue with my expenses or questions about my hours which is very important to consultants. The software that we use for entering time and expenses is very easy to use; it’s nice to have tools that make our lives easier.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, Sue! Thank you for reading. You could be the next consultant in the spotlight!
